FOR AGES 6-10: Weekly Morning and Afternoon sessions. Emphasis is on personal expression and creativity to allow students to develop their fine art skills. Students work from observation and their imagination on abstract and realistic lessons in drawing, painting, printmaking, and mixed media using a wide variety of materials including watercolor, charcoal, acrylic, pastels and more! We will also discuss work on display at Artspace and other artists’ work.
FOR AGES 10 AND UP: Weekly morning & afternoon sessions. Using a range of media including charcoal, pastels, graphite, watercolor, acrylic and oils, students will draw and paint the still life, portrait, figure, and the landscape. We will also explore abstract painting, printmaking and mixed media techniques while working from direct observation and our imagination. We will cover concepts including color, shape, composition, line and pattern through lessons and by discussing other artists’ work all levels welcome.
